A Sun Conure's Feathers

We are “birds of a feather”. Each of us came to a life with birds through our own unique journey. We flock to other “Parronts” to share our experience and knowledge through clubs, seminars, and conferences. We search the web for information, join discussion groups for enlightenment, and we share stories and photographs of our beautiful birds.
We have opened our hearts and our homes to the most wonderfully engaging creatures on our planet. They are the only species that communicates to us and with us in our own language. They are intelligent and entertaining. They rely on us for their most basic needs for food, shelter, safety, affection, social interaction, and mental and physical stimulation.
It is my sincere hope that you will be entertained by our stories; inspired by the photos that accompany our “tails”. If you should come away with a deeper understanding and appreciation for birds, fantastic! But if you decide to share your life with a bird, and you research the various breeds, and you go into this journey informed and educated, then I will have succeeded.
No bird should be abused or neglected. No bird should need rescue. But they are, and they do. Your bird may be waiting for you and a forever home. If you find each other I can ask for no greater success.
